1. About ProfPick

ProfPick is an independent, student-created platform that allows students at the American University of Bahrain (AUBH) to anonymously rate and review their professors. ProfPick is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by AUBH or any university administration.

2. Eligibility

To use ProfPick, you must:

  • Have a valid @aubh.edu.bh email address
  • Be a current or former student of AUBH
  • Agree to these Terms and Conditions

3. User Conduct

When using ProfPick, you agree to:

  • Submit honest, fair reviews based on your actual academic experience
  • Rate professors based on their teaching, not personal factors
  • Refrain from posting false, misleading, or defamatory content
  • Respect the privacy and dignity of professors and fellow students

4. Prohibited Content

The following content is strictly prohibited:

  • Hate speech, slurs, or discriminatory language
  • Threats, harassment, or bullying
  • Personal attacks unrelated to academic performance
  • Doxxing or sharing private information
  • Spam, advertisements, or promotional content
  • Sexually explicit or inappropriate content
  • False accusations or fabricated claims

5. Content Moderation

ProfPick reserves the right to:

  • Remove or edit any content that violates these terms
  • Suspend or ban accounts that repeatedly violate our guidelines
  • Report illegal content to appropriate authorities if necessary

6. Anonymity and Privacy

Your identity is protected through the following measures:

  • Public aliases (e.g., "Anon #1234") are used instead of real names
  • Your email is stored securely and never displayed publicly
  • We use encryption to protect your account information

7. Data Usage

Your data is used for:

  • Account management and authentication
  • Platform analytics and improvement
  • Communication about your account (if necessary)

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
